Orbis Mentor is an international online mentoring platform. You find a mentor who has lived through the transition you're facing - career, relocation, balance, recovery, education - and book paid video sessions with them. It's a shared experience, not therapy.
No. Orbis Mentor is not therapy, medical, or psychological help. Our mentors share real-life and professional experience. If you need clinical support, we'll always encourage you to seek a qualified professional.
Mentors set their own prices, so the cost depends on who you book. Every mentor's rate for a video session of 30 to 90 minutes is shown on their profile before you pay, and our commission comes out of the mentor's share rather than being added to your price. Many mentors also offer monthly packages of 3 or 4 sessions at a better rate than booking one by one.
Sessions take place over secure video. Once your payment is confirmed, you'll get a private session link by email and in your dashboard. No app or download required - it runs in your browser.
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund. Cancellations inside 24 hours are reviewed case by case. If a mentor doesn't show or there's a technical failure, you're always covered.
Every mentor applies, and our team reviews their profile, experience, and how they describe their work before they can appear publicly. We look for real, relevant lived experience - not credentials for their own sake.
Yes. If you've walked a meaningful path and want to guide others, you can apply to become a mentor. After approval there's a €50/year membership, and the platform keeps a commission on every session you deliver, at the rate set in the Mentor Agreement.
The platform is available in Latvian, Russian, and English. Mentors list the languages they speak so you can find someone you're comfortable with.
Yes, if you'd like. Recording only starts with the mentee's explicit consent before the call begins, and it's always clearly indicated during the session. It's handy - you can revisit the conversation later and not miss anything. The video is stored in the mentee's account for one week, then deleted. A mentee may decline to give consent for recording; for more on how we store and protect data, see our Privacy Policy.
